Sometimes the best advice is the simplest: double down on yourself.
In this video, I talk about a lesson my father taught me and how it continues to guide me when I’m making decisions, navigating change, or stepping into something new.
When things feel uncertain, the answer isn’t always to step back.
Sometimes the answer is to step forward — and trust yourself.
At a recent Women’s Council of Realtors event titled Bloom Where You’re Planted, Sandy Hedenberg shared a message about growth, resilience, and the power of believing that change is possible.
During the talk, Sandy read a poem about the strength of an oak tree — a reminder that even the strongest trees begin as small acorns and grow over time through patience, persistence, and the right conditions.
At the end of the presentation, each attendee received an acorn with a simple note attached that read:
“It is possible.”
The message was a reminder that no matter where we find ourselves planted in life or in our careers, growth is always possible — and sometimes the smallest beginnings lead to the strongest roots.

Whether on stage, in workshops, or through coaching—Sandy has helped people gain clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of themselves.

For as long as she can remember, Sandy Hedenberg has felt a deep desire to help people recognize their potential and create meaningful change in their lives.
After more than two decades in the real estate industry—helping clients navigate one of life’s biggest transitions—Sandy began to notice something powerful: the beliefs people carry about themselves often shape the choices they make far more than the circumstances they face.
That realization led her to become dual certified as a Life and Success Coach and to develop her What’s Your Story? framework, which helps people uncover the subconscious beliefs and emotional patterns influencing their decisions.
Sandy is also the creator of Connection Code RE, a framework designed to help Realtors better understand human behavior, attachment styles, and the emotional dynamics that often shape real estate transactions and client relationships.
She is the host of the podcast Change the Be, where she explores why people stay stuck in careers, relationships, and identities long after they know something isn’t working—and what it truly takes to change.
Through speaking, coaching, and teaching, Sandy’s work centers on one powerful idea:
The story you believe about yourself quietly shapes every decision you make.
When people begin to understand and reframe those stories, they gain the clarity and confidence needed to create lasting change in their lives.
“My ultimate goal is to inspire and motivate my clients to grow both professionally and personally—to help them realize that their well-being and success are not only possible but absolutely probable. Helping someone believe in themselves again is one of the greatest feelings in the world.”
